What is Cold Laser Therapy?

Cold Laser Therapy, or Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), is a non‐invasive light source treatment that generates a single wavelength of light. It emits no heat, sound, or vibration. It is also called photobiology or biostimulation. LLLT is believed to affect the function of connective tissue cells (fibroblasts), accelerate connective tissue repair and act as an anti‐inflammatory agent.

Conditions that may typically be treated by Cold Laser Therapy:
  • Joint pain
  • Ligament sprains
  • Muscle strain
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Tendonitis
  • Arthritis
  • Tennis elbow
  • Back pain
  • Bursitis
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Fibromyalgia

Is Cold Laser Therapy safe?

Cold laser therapy is easy to apply, extremely safe, non-toxic, non-invasive, causes no side effects or pain, and can reduce the need for surgery. Cold laser therapy works synergistically with other modalities like chiropractic care, acupuncture, and physical therapy.

In some cases, cold laser therapy can be used as a natural, non-intrusive alternative to acupuncture and surgery, especially for patients who are uncomfortable with these modalities. It also provides a natural alternative to pharmaceutical drug use.

At Goodyear Chiropractic & Naturopathic, we use the latest technology by Erchonia Laser Company which is FDA approved.
